Open House on September 9th

Capitol Hill Arts Workshop Welcomes Bloggers to Open House with Free Classes

August 15, 2006--The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is hosting an Open House on Saturday, September 9, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors will learn about Arts Workshop classes, private lessons, and programs and have the chance to participate in free classes and demonstrations.

Arts Workshop staff and faculty will be on hand to meet the community and offer tours of the theater, the newly renovated darkroom and digital computer lab, and the art, dance, and ceramics studios.

The Arts Workshop is extending a special welcome to bloggers for the Open House and for the organization’s art opening the same evening. The Arts Workshop is in a great area for those looking for an interesting story about exploring DC. Just two blocks from Eastern Market and one block from Barracks Row Main Street, the Arts Workshop is near great places for shopping, dining, and a night on the town.

“We are especially interested in inviting Bloggers down for the Open House.” said Jonathan Darr, Executive Director of the Arts Workshop. “Blogs are a vital voice in the city and DC has a thriving blog culture. This is where many of us go to learn about art, theater, and music offerings. We’d love to see what people have to say about the Arts Workshop and our unique offerings.”

The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is located on the corner of 7th and G Streets, SE. Events are free and open to the public. For more information, please call the Workshop at (202) 547-6839.
