Faculty Cabaret, April 27, 7 p.m.


CHAW invites the community to its annual Faculty Cabaret on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy a night of libations and performances including dance, music, poetry, and more by the talented CHAW performing arts faculty. The event is part of the Dance is the Answer campaign, a collaborative marketing initiative that celebrates the local dance industry of the Metro DC area, and is free and open to the public.

Dance Is The Answer (DITA), the first collaborative marketing project of Dance/MetroDC, will introduce, energize and excite the public about the many benefits of dance. In celebration of the growing dance industry of the Metro area, 20 nonprofit dance studio and venues will provide 70 free classes, 20 free performances, and several free lectures and films for children and adults during National Dance Week, April 20-29, 2007. Open Photography Critique & 35% off all Photo Classes

CHAW hosts an open photography critique on Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Led by Photography Chair extraordinaire Bruce McKaig, the critique offers participants a chance to share their work (prints or digital) and discuss this exciting medium. Free and open to all!

Currently, all photography and digital arts classes beginning April 16, 2007 are now 35% off. Choose from intro classes in black and white photo, digital photo, and photoshop. For more advanced students, visit our open darkroom hours or work on building your portfolio with The Photography Project. Other visual and performing arts classes are currently 15% off. Register Now for New Adult Classes

CHAW is now registering adult students for a new slate of nine-week classes in the visual and performing arts beginning April 9, 2007. In addition, CHAW is offering 35% off all of its photography and digital arts classes in honor of its 35th anniversary. CHAW also offers an array of shorter Saturday workshops throughout the spring focusing on painting, creative writing, fused glass, digital photography, IMovies, the pinhole camera, and more.
